Film Day Failed My group and I decided that we were going to finish filming our night time scenes on Saturday, March 7th. We were going to meet between 6 and 6:30 at Chris's house to finish the night-time scenes that we needed to complete that we were unable to complete when we last filmed. Unfortunately around 5:30 as I was getting ready, my teammate, Daniel Sanchez, texted the group chat saying he had a "family matter" he had to deal with. Later that night Chris discovered he was actually at a club in Tampa FL. So he ultimately canceled filming on me and Chris to go to a club so we now have to film 2 weeks later and extend the process of our work. This screwed us over and did not help our group whatsoever. This showed Chris and I that Danny seems unreliable in our group and not committed to this project, as me and Chris on the other hand are committed and do work to finish the project so we can accomplish this class with a good grade. Movie opening research After we decided on our genre and characters for the movie, we started to move along with more of our plot. We began doing research on how domestic violence with substance abuse is usually portrayed. Our sources and hearing from personal stories from what we have seen have told us that substance abuse and domestic violence is usually portrayed in a very confusing way. It can usually be someone that everyone least expects. Some movies that include domestic violence and substance abuse might be the movie "Waves," or the movie "Precious." The movie waves I have watched many times before. It is a very deep and has a major background. The tone of the movie is very slow and melancholy but shows progression of anger and held back emotions that lead to the abuse of both substances and a significant other.
